Those seeking to gain a foothold in some of the South East’s prime locations are pushing prices to new highs, despite impending interest rate rises.
2 new record prices were set this weekend, and 3 from 3 auctions sold under the hammer.
12 Water Reed Court, Narre Warren North sold for $2,560,000. $210,000 over reserve and a new ceiling price by $410,000 has been set in the Oaktree Rise Estate.
13 Eastbourne Crescent, Officer sold for $1,560,000. The latest benchmark price has now been exceeded in Officer residential estates by $100,000.
The trio of sales sold under auction conditions on the weekend have given renewed energy back into the market as a whole. 12 Water Reed Court was hotly contended with 6 active bidders. Anita and Andrew successfully sold 20-26 Scanlan Street, Berwick for $1,100,000 and Syarif and Sarah’s campaign at 15 Harkaway Road, Berwick came to a successful end under the hammer for $792,000.
The threat of rate rises throughout 2023 doesn’t seem to have had a huge impact on buyer interest thus far. The solid sales add to what have been a promising few weeks of successful transactions by Peake agents across the South East, particularly in the auction arena.
